2001::::Birth of Volksmusik in september.
2002::::Female singer Ana Vog joins the project for a special live performance at Le Nouveau Casino (Paris). Recording of a six tracks Ep called Model Ego.
2003::::Release of the double vinyl Model Ego on french label Black Jack Records (Sinema aka Kiko…) with the collaborations of Karine Liebe (voice) and Thierry D. (bass). Sold-out in 4 days ! Release of the track Give Me Danger on Projection(s) compilation (Wallkeys) and show-case at OPA Bastille (Paris). Volksmusik plays live, supporting Ural 13 Diktators, at Le Nouveau Casino (Paris) in June. Remix of X-Ray Eyes by the new-yorker John Selway (Fischerspooner, DJ Hell, Lasergun Records, Intec) on Black Jack. The track is playlisted by Dave Clarke, Tiga, Ulysses, The Hacker, Judge Jules, Fafa Monteco… In November, Volksmusik plays at the Spartacus club (Aix-En-Provence) for the Human Body Party.
2004::::Releases of a 12′, Das Ist Volksmusik (February), and a first album, Nite Patrol (May), for Klash 80. With Thierry D. (bass) and Nathalie Wagner (voice), the trio gave an enthusiastic show at L’Ile Enchantee (Paris) in June. November 6th, Romain aka Electrosexual (synth) joined Nathalie and Markus at the Zoobizarre (Bordeaux) for an extravagant performance at 80′s Suck party.
2005::::Show case at Bar Three (Paris) for the Handarbeit #2 party. Release of The Force Ep on Elektrofon with a smashing remix of the famous french producer David Carretta in May. Volksmusik appears three times on the first compilation of Elektrofon beside Lab Insect, Mitch, Franck Kartell, Millimetric, Eedio, LTNO and Polygamy Boys.
Female singer Pia Katz joins Markus for a live performance at Backstage #8, Batofar (Paris). The duet shoots the video-clip of Synthétique with the young French director Nicolas Lachambre. In September, the remix of The Force by David Carretta appears on the German reference compilation Electric Pop Volume 4. Release, in November, of a new Ep, Secret Girl, on Elektrofon with a techno-gothic remix of Paul Nazca. The remix is compiled on the mixed CD of La Dune club.
2006:::: In January, Markus and Pia play at the first Laboratoire party which takes place to the Nouveau Casino (Paris). The crowd is very much enthusiastic. Ten months later, the new Volksmusik’s website is online. During fall, the band is recording new tracks for his next release.
2007:::: Volksmusik release his new EP, Burn Hollywood Burn, with three new tracks (Cold Blooded Woman, Korper and Synthétique) and rework versions of Das Ist Volksmusik and Hollywood Vampire. The Ep is available on the musical platform Amie Street. Check this out and download it !
